Stomp Out Homelessness Challenge 6/9/2018


The MLK Jr. Drive Merchants Association will launch it’s Inaugural 2 Mile Community Walk to help support the Shelter, Hunger, & Clothing needs of the Metro Atlanta Task Force For the Homeless.


Founded in 1981 the Metro Atlanta Task Force For the Homeless continues to consistently serve as the central coordinating agency for the homeless individuals. Goal: “no person left outside”.

In1981, Mayor Andrew Young and a coalition of community leaders formed the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless.

Mission: To advocate with and to represent the dignity and right of people who are homeless in our society toward the goal of preventing homelessness and seeking appropriate and affordable housing for all.

Registration Details:

Kids 12 under, free with registered adult.

Seniors over 60 may make a donation of any amount to participate.

Walk Day Information

When: Saturday, June 9, 2018

Where: Washington Park/Westside Belt line. 102 Ollie St. Atlanta, GA. 30314

Time: On-Site Registration/Packet Pick-up 7:30 a.m.-8:45a.m.

Walk Begins 9:00 a.m.

While supporting the Metro Atlanta Task Force For The Homeless get up close and personal with the recently opened Westside Belt Line!
