The ATL is jumping on the marijuana bandwagon, welcoming three marijuana-themed sandwich shops to the southern mecca.
Atlanta’s showing southern hospitality to Cheba Hut, a Colorado based eatery with roots dating back to 1998. The sandwich chain plans to open 50 locations by the end of 2021 and is super excited to bring its expertise to Edgewood Avenue in Old Fourth Ward this fall. The two additional locations could possibly open near Midtown, West Midtown, Reynoldstown or Summerhill, but that has yet to be disclosed. The menu includes toasted subs named after strains of cannabis, “munchies” encompassing garlic cheese bread, meatballs, and desserts, and “cottonmouth cures” like Kool-Aid, beers, iced-tea and a full bar. But as the new restaurant rolls in, can convicted inmates with minimal weed charges roll out of Georgia’s state prisons? #QTNA
